Goldfish Memories

(mostly) Reblogged randomness courtesy of her squirrelyness, Saerin.

One of my husband’s coworkers bought a pair of betta fish as work pets and put them in the same tank. The male became very aggressive and did a number on the female’s fins. His coworker separated them and the girl came to live with us.

We went out and got her a nice set up so she could have a happy home with us. Unfortunately, she only survived 4 days. So here I am crying over Princess Bluray wondering if there was anything I could have done to save her.

So now we have this fish tank with no fish. Maybe we will get another one once we move in October. I know none of this really matters to anyone but I just needed to get this moment out.

This may be a long shot but…

Does anyone have a junky legit 1/4 body, girl or boy, that they want to get rid of? For sale or trade?

I have a bambicrony sunday girl I’m willing to split up if you’re at all interested in a bambicrony 1/4 body.

More hair popping out.
She IS rooted with an interlock stitch, but the needle missed here and there, letting the plugs come back out. She’ll need a full reroot eventually. I can’t stand rooting with curly hair, so I’d have to get her some new hair :\
The vinyl isn’t bad, but her whole body feels oily. It’s either plasticizer or mold release. She kind of smells like fishing lures.
I am very anti-recast when it comes to ABJD.
Obviously, I feel differently with clones of mass-produced, low cost, playline dolls. I have that blue MyScene Barbie clone with a non-Barbie body and this Midnight Magic girl which is thought to be a modified Nefera body with a different head.
I understand if anyone disagrees, and if anyone feels it’s hypocritical, because it is.

I think there’s a HUGE difference considering how small the market for Asian ball jointed dolls is, and the creation process is so lengthy and difficult that literally any kind of knock off (especially since recasts can be really similar in quality) does affect the original artist much deeper than a mass produced item with a much wider audience and that has a huge quality difference to the original product as well as the original company being able to absorb the damage a lot easier than a lot of independent BJD companies.
So yeah I can justify a Monster High knock off since Mattel can absorb the costs, the knock off itself is usually different enough to the original product anyone can usually see its not the original, plus Monster High has a much bigger market audience than a ball jointed doll has.

That’s why it doesn’t bother me as much XD I still want one of those 43cm MH knockoffs.

Wait 43cm monster high knock off?! That sounds amazing.

So I’m showing my husband tumblr posts I had liked so that I could show him… He sees this one and says “Aww poor duck!”In his defense my phone screen is small, but that comment made my night.

So there was just a knock on the door. Your typical door to door guy there and you know what he asked!?!
For my mom or dad. Asked if a grown up is here!!!!
I got married yesterday. I am an adult….
I did adult things today!!! Like using my credit card to buy a game on psn and played it while eating cake in bed!

I got married on the 16th of this month. I got my hair cut 3 days after and the stylist asked what grade I was in.

I’m 30.

cheshiretiffy:

I generally only review things I get for free (Gelous was paid for, I was too happy not to share and it was a half-review anyway, not very technical) and I honestly appreciate every, single freebie and sample that comes my way. I know they’re marketing ploys, but I don’t care. I am thankful for…

Actually I like book chatter… especially if it’s a free book! I am reading Taboo now thanks to you mentioning it:)
